My favorite local salsa music band is Salsa Del Rio. They play the first Friday of the month at the student union on the Texas State University campus. The place is called George’s and it’s in the basement of the student union building. One of the interesting things about Pittsburgh is that it’s a very close knit community. One of our hosts described Pittsburgh as “the biggest small town in America” and I have to agree with that. There’s probably 2.5 million people in the Pittsburgh metro area yet everyone seems to really care about each other. One of the more interesting things about Pittsburgh, is Creation Rex.
