Sanctity Of Life Bull

I love this bit by George Carlin. I love the part where he asks “how come when it’s us it’s an abortion, but when it’s a chicken it’s called an omelette?”

I couldn’t make a better argument.

Carlin and I pretty much have the same position on the sanctity of life. The State of Texas has murdered 500 people and counting via the death penalty, yet not a single “pro-lifer” has ever made the argument that the death penalty is immoral, and should be illegal.

Listen, the moment Rick Perry says that all life is sacred, and he wants to abolish the death penalty in Texas then I might, MIGHT, start to listen to what he has to say on the matter. Until then, no, not gonna happen.

Let’s not forget, that when Rick Perry said we should pray for rain, and then lead a prayer for rain at that religious conference God responded by setting the state on fire.

Hugo Chavez Died Today

Allegedly, Hugo Chavez died today, but my inner conspiracy theorist thinks that Chavez was already dead when he was brought back from Cuba and that his supporters have been preparing for riots/looting/coup d’ etat upon the release of the news. I know that it’s wrong, but I’m glad that he’s dead, although on one hand I wish he wasn’t dead so he could answer for his crimes.

I don’t care that his supporters are “heart broken” because I do not believe that they had a heart to begin with.

I have nothing nice to say about the man that persecuted my family members. Pelvic cancer, seems like it would have caused him a lot of pain, and that gives me some solace. I don’t wish that he rot in hell, I just want him to not exist anymore.

It will take years to undo the damage that he has done to Venezuela. From the decrepit infrastructure to the rampant crime and corruption in the government, no previous government has done so much to disregard the rule of law as his had/ has.

I pray that his cronies will be brought to justice as the criminals that they are and that they are treated with the same “fairness” that he treated his enemies. Payback, is a bitch.

I seriously doubt that his death will bring any sort of closure or cure for what ails Venezuela. I know that now we need to figure out a way to get his cronies out of government and into jail, where they belong since they are traitors that gave away Venezuela’s independence and sovereignty to Cuba. High treason, should be punished severely.

Assuming that there is an afterlife, I do not wish for any peace for his soul. If there is no afterlife, then there’s nothing else to say about that now is there?

I will say this one nice thing about him, he said in an interview way back in 1998 or something like that, that he would not govern past 2013. I think he said something like “past 2013, there is no reason for me to remain in politics.” Truer words, will never be spoken about him.

Not Impressed With Romney Ryan

I found this picture, somewhere, but probably on Mikayla is not impressed, which is my current a former favorite tumblr blog. I have to agree with the sentiment. I am not impressed with Romney Ryan for 2012.

I think it shows a complete lack of imagination and a complete disregard for “true American values.” If the GOP had any balls, they’d go with a Palin-Bachmann ticket, or a Trump-Santorum ticket. Something that would really make the race interesting.

Instead, they give us a man with no spine, with more money than sense, that wears magic underwear and believes that the ancient Jews were really native Americans and is a member of a religious cult founded by a dude that read something out of a hat.

They couple him, with a man that thinks that old people should just die already, who believes that the Taliban has women’s rights issues dialed in correctly and who believes that the way out of the current economic doldrums is to continue the same policies that got us here in the first place.

No charisma and no soul.

Romunism and Ryancide for 2012.

On a different note, I am impressed with the Republicans efforts to disenfranchise low income voters with their new poll taxes and their new restrictions on early voting etc. That shows true Orwellian levels of thinking and execution. Cutting off the ability to vote of most of the people that will be adversely affected by their new policies is just sheer brilliance and nothing else.

Too bad they lack the cojones to just come out and say that’s what they are doing. Most people are not paying attention, so no one will notice it anyway.

N’est pas?

Sarah Palin – Undefeated Movie

I don’t know if this is the real trailer for the Sarah Palin – Undefeated movie or not. What I do know, is that it totally makes me want to watch the movie.

It’s obviously a comedy, I mean, look at the name.

It looks like it’s focused on a time when she was the governor of Alaska and she “took on” big oil and did something or another that no one else had done before. Good for her.

I like that there are jibes against W, and jibes against “the machine” and all that sort of thing. My absolute favorite part, is how the movie tries to portray Palin as some kind of outsider that doesn’t lose, you know, she’s “undefeated”.

Never mind that she’s now 100% part of the machine, was part of the losing team during the last presidential election and quit being a governor mid-term.

The Undefeated Teaser Trailer from Dain Valverde on Vimeo.

By the way, this movie opened the same weekend as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows or whatever that movie was called. I doubt that they could’ve picked a worse weekend to open.

Undefeated, my ass. Vain and deluded, yes.
