Now, apparently, facebook is tagging random links as “potentially dangerous” while simultaneously pimping antivirus software in the same warning.
Yeah, not a fan of that.
If they called it an advertisement, which is what it is, I wouldn’t be miffed. but then again, if they called it a facebook ad, then people may just ignore it.

All Facebook needs to do, is remove the text “Security Warning” and replace it with the text “Advertising message” or “Message from a partner” or something along those lines. By the way, I know the alert was bogus because the link that I clicked was a link to one of my blogs.
I would like to know what makes my blog post “potentially unsafe” but not enough to install McAfee bloat ware. It’s just really disappointing to see a company like facebook engaging in deceptive advertising, but I guess that’s just par for the course when it comes to internet marketing.
