Great place to eat in Kyle, TX

This is the first in a series of posts about the town I live in. This is my favorite place to eat here in Kyle. The place is a TexMex restaurant called “Manna from Heaven.”

They have an awesome lunch salad buffet and a great breakfast buffet. They’ve got some great menudo, caldo de pollo and all other kinds of yummy food.

Eat here while you still can.

I say that, because come Christmas day 2009 they lose their lease. The owner of the building wants to open a knick knack store, which is just what everyone in Kyle has been “clammoring” for. I say that, with the highest amount of disdain possible.

You know how Austin has the whole “Keep Austin Weird” thing? The Kyle Chamber of Commerce has a campaign “Simply Charming” and this restaurant is one of the places that helps keep Kyle “Simply Charming.”

Here’s Manna’s info in case you’re interested in going there:

Manna From Heaven Restaurant
602 W Center St
Kyle, TX 78640

Update: Manna from Heaven closed its doors on Christmas day 2009. In its place, is Motley Menagerie, which continues the tradition of good food, but has added live music to boot.

Hey, we’ve been there. Disappointed after we’ve discovered it that they are going to have to move. Keep me posted as to where they are moving too. I so love the ambiance of the place they’re in now though…and their food is awesomely delicious!!

I was disappointed about them having to move too, but I figured that just means I need to go there more while I still can.
