I caught wind of this event the day before, and managed to make it into Austin in time to position myself near the Bob Bullock museum to take some pictures of the space shuttle over Austin. Originally, I was on Campus at the end of Congress Avenue but after an 18 wheeler and a bus passed in front of me, blocking the view, I decided to cross the street and get in position in front of the museum.

I was expecting the SCA (Shuttle Carrier Aircraft) to be a lot louder than it actually was.
This was truly a once in a lifetime event and I was glad that I was able to make it in time to take a few shots of it.
